If the disastrous results of Hurricane Katrina and the terrible tsunami that attacked Southeast Asia have taught us anything, it that preparation and information are of utmost importance when responding to a natural disaster. It is with that in mind that the Mobile Tsunami Detector 1.0 was developed, relaying real-time information from the United States Geological Surveys (USGS) Earthquake reading. This prediction program analyzes incoming live information and provides probability and estimated impact times for all countries bordering the Indian Ocean.
